Kamel Hatahet

Dr. Hatahet is dual Board Certified in Nephrology and Internal Medicine. Born and raised in France with Syrian heritage, he went on to complete his internship, residency, and fellowship training at Temple University in Philadelphia where he was granted Chief Nephrology Fellow from July 2015 to June 2016. He comes to Kidney Medical Associates after providing excellent care to patients in the Leonardtown and St. Mary’s County area.

Dr. Hatahet has extensive experience caring for patients with all types of kidney-related diseases and disorders including hypertension, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, end-stage renal disease, dialysis, postoperative kidney transplant maintenance, disorders of electrolyte, and mineral metabolism, and kidney stones. He strives to provide thoughtful, compassionate, and evidence-based care to his patients. He speaks French and Arabic fluently, enjoys swimming, playing soccer, and reading history books and novels.
