Amber R. Okubo, CRNP is originally from Kansas. She received her nursing degree from Riverside College of Health Careers in Newport News, VA. Amber received her Family Nurse Practitioner, MSN from Chamberlain College of Nursing in Downers Grove, IL with clinical components completed at Calvert Primary Care in Prince Frederick, MD.
Prior to obtaining her nursing degree Amber served six-year in the US Air Force as an Emergency Manager, specializing in disaster preparedness, HazMat, and mitigation of chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear events. Following the completion of her nursing degree she specialized in the management of dialysis care. She served in a variety of roles within the dialysis center including direct patient care and management of the facility.
As a healthcare provider, Amber is interested in partnering with patients to provide disease education along with planning patient-focused outcomes based on current evidence-based practices and patient’s desires for care.
