Dr. Anwar grew up in Iowa, and received undergraduate degrees in both Biology and Philosophy from The University of Iowa. He then went on to medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine from which he graduated in 2015. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at New York Medical College’s Saint Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, NJ, in 2018. Afterward, he completed his Nephrology fellowship training at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, NJ, in 2020. He strives to work with his patients in order to provide individualized and compassionate care. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, traveling, science fiction, and trying out new foods.
